EXAMINEES TO RETURN ON WEDNESDAY
Drummond pupils in years S4–S6 will return to school on Wednesday.
Contingency arrangements for those in years S1–S3 have not been finalised.
That was the news from City of Edinburgh Council this evening. It said a programme of structural surveys in schools would continue across the capital this week.
Drummond, it seems, is able to partially reopen because it was only partially refurbished as part of the PPP1 project. This will come as partial comfort to pupils and parents.
We understand readers' desire to turn over the possibilities, but are resisting requests to speculate here about which bits of the school may or may not be wonky and how long they might theoretically take to repair.
We'll stick to facts as and when we have them.
