The free ‘Place’ exhibitions – Place: Rediscovery, Place: Analysis and Place: Displaced – are three exhibitions created by third-year Edinburgh Napier University photography students. The work questions place as an idea, challenged, altered, demarcated and purely imagined. The photographers conduct detailed analyses of place through geography, history, social structure, religion, physicality and tangibility. The work examines the process or act of rediscovering a place, allowing the viewer to construct their own personal perception. Each exhibition will show work by a different group of photographers and will be open for one week. Place: Rediscovery 24–28 March; Place: Analysis, 31 March–4 April; Place: Displaced, 7–11 April.
