On Thursday morning, we think, this little trickle of paint first appeared outside No. 28 East Claremont Street.
We have no reason to believe there’s any link between the two.
On Friday morning, Spurtle decided to follow it.
There’s a white splash outside No. 14 which we’re fairly sure is a red herring.
The dribble continues towards the church before turning left along Mansfield Place.

Then there’s an accelerating scoosh around the roundabout and it’s off to London Street we go.
There's another random spillage at the crossing.
Next, left once more onto Drummond Place …
and left up Nelson Street. Here the setts and slope speed up the flow.
By now, the junction at the top is not a pretty sight …
and things really start to get messy on Abercromby Place.
Suddenly, a shuddering climax at the lights.

Over the junction, there's some dribbly backwards and forwards and a final pavement gush opposite No. VI Heriot Row.
Can any reader offer more detail?
