Interested locals report a flurry of comings and goings, last-minute arrivals and departures, speculative parking, a palpable sense of anticipation.
Based in the former Moviebank (the former former Post Office) at 53 London Street, the store promises 'a unique shopping experience'.
It is, the fledgling website says, 'Home to a carefully edited collection of beautiful, affordable and stylish fashion and lifestyle goodies from around the globe'.
Meanwhile, next door, it's all-change at the Mezz Bar. The popular eaterie shut its doors on 11 November for a major refurbishment.
It will reopen next month as The Bellevue (its original name), and is currently looking for a new chef.
