COLOURS IN THE SPECTRUM

Submitted by Editor on

Today is World Autism Awareness Day, as part of which important buildings and structures around the globe are being lit up blue.

There are events to mark the occasion across Edinburgh. Details are available on the Council website here.

Close to home, the Gallery on the Corner (34 Northumberland Street) launches its Autism: Life in Colour exhibition this evening from 6.00–8.00pm. Artists on the autism spectrum from across Scotland have contributed paired images showing the best and worst moments of an average day. It's a fascinating insight.

Also on show is Alan Lucchesi's wonderfully huge Balmoral Hotel: magnificent, monumental and in motion.

Lucchesi became a  trainee at the Gallery on the Corner in 2010, and has since gone on to forge a successful career as a professional artist.

We urge you to visit his website and see more of his work here.
