Have you reached the stage where your darling and intelligent child has learnt everything there is to know about wrecking your house and/or relationship and now needs to be fixed by professional educators?
If so, mark 5 November in your diary. All state primary schools in Edinburgh are throwing open their doors for parents of kids who will start school in August 2014.
It's a good opportunity to meet staff and see your local school – or one in an area you may move to elsewhere – during a normal working day. You could even compare adjacent schools before registering your child in mid-November.
