With 5 or more candidates likely to be fielding questions at the Spurtle hustings later this month, there's always a chance that an issue many people care about may still not get picked when a thicket of hands goes up.
This year, we hope to get round that risk by inviting readers to send us up to 2 questions each before the meeting. If no questions on the most popular subject area have been asked when the hustings enter their last 15 minutes, the Chair will select a relevant question from those sent in advance. It's not perfect, but it's a step in the right direction.
Please send your question(s) to: spurtle@hotmail.co.uk or Spurtle, c/o Narcissus Flowers, 87 Broughton Street, Edinburgh EH1 3RJ.
Please clearly attach each question to one of the following Devolved-Matters categories:
- Agriculture, forestry and fisheries
- Economic development and internal transport
- Education and training
- The environment, science, technology
- Health and social work
- Law and home affairs, Police/Fire services
- Planning
- Sport and the arts
- Tourism, heritage – natural and built
