FESTIVE PUFF FOR LOCAL WIND BAND

Submitted by Editor on

Spurtle has free tickets to give away for Christmas Crackers – a feel-good concert (with party afterwards) by No Strings Attached and The Queen Anne Singers' on 8 December.

The show will feature a selection of 'fun and festive music' from 'Sleigh Ride', 'Mr Santa' and favourite carols to traditional yuletide classics such as 'All Shook Up'; and 'Westside Story'.

A raffle and 'lots to eat and drink' will follow.

No Strings Attached rose from the ashes of the Phoenix Wind Band in summer 2011 with a renewed commitment to enjoying live musical performance in a variety of genres for the entertainment of the community. They rehearse weekly in the Drummond Room at the rear of Broughton St Mary's Parish Church. This is the second time they have staged a Christmas show with the Queen Anne Singers, an all female choir hailing from Dunfermline. They sing everything from barbershop to classical, but 'Above all, we're good friends and we have fun!'
