FREE BLOGGING LESSON AT STOCKBRIDGE LIBRARY

Submitted by Editor on

Are you interested in learning more about blogging? Do you live in the Inverleith Neighbourhood Partnership area? (Look at this map, you may be surprised.) Are you attracted to the idea of learning about blogging from experts for free?

Then get yourself along to Stockbridge Library where multimedia journalist Tom Allan and writer and communicator Emily Dodd will lead an informal tutorial on Thursday 6 September, 5.45–7.30pm. Dave Pickering from the North Edinburgh News will also be on hand, with a team of experienced volunteers.

They'll guide you through 'how you can use social media tools like Facebook and Twitter to reach beyond your usual audience and effectively share your stories and ideas.

'The workshop will offer a practical introduction to the tools on offer and demonstrate how interacting, networking and sharing is the key to online success'.

Participants are asked to bring along a picture of their community or an issue that matters to them, plus a library card, laptop and smartphone if they have them.

There's a free buffet and a drink on offer at the Antiquary afterwards, so good opportunities to meet other people similarly interested in getting messages across.

Remember, the event is free but you have to book first.
