TO HAVE AND TO HOLD

Submitted by Editor on

Do you have a summer wedding to attend, but can’t find exactly the right thoughtful and unique present for the happy couple?

Your problems may be over.

Nothing suggests style, breeding and a love of Nature like a stuffed head mounted on the wall, and now you can achieve the same effect without the glassy stare and oddly misshapen features of the recipients when given the real thing.

Laura Cameron’s wonderful ‘woolidermy’ is currently for sale at Concrete Wardrobe on Broughton Street.

Her subjects include a prickly hedgehog (above), a magnificent stag, and a bridal-white rabbit decorated with cherries.

Also, a unicorn and a touchingly odd couple.

And what if the bride and groom are not particularly into reproduction crocheted mammals?

Fear not … nothing says ‘I love you’ like a woolly heart.

Too anatomical? Then what about these stylised, his-and-hers, good-luck fish? Certain to bring a lovely splash of colour to any new start together.

Laura Cameron now resides in North Wales, but was born and raised in Edinburgh. You can see more of her splendid 'soft sculptures' on the website here
