Submitted by Editor on

A new, free service for businesses and individuals was launched on 14 April.

An initiative by Business Gateway and Edinburgh City Libraries, the Leith Business Hub – based in McDonald Road Library – offers comprehensive business advice and training outwith normal trading hours.

Workshops on electronic business, salesmanship, marketing and cost-cutting will be offered, as well as one-to-one meetings with experienced experts. To book an individual advice session, Tel. 0131 247 2820.

The Hub will also offer free internet access, Wifi, and printed and online business information such as Kompass (the massive, searchable business database), News UK (an archive of newspaper and magazine articles on businesses), and over 100 other business-related reference tools. (See online business support.)

Sir Tom Farmer and Cllr Tom Buchanan will officially launch the Leith Business Hub on 10 May.
