ISSUE 195 – OUT SOON

Submitted by Editor on Sun, 29/05/2011 - 10:41

Even as you read this, thousands of words are being extruded in legible lumps from a wordprocessor located in Central Spurtleshire.

Together they comprise Issue 195, and describe recent news, current affairs, upcoming events and wrongheaded opinion on all things Broughton.

We cover trains, boot-scrapers, and New Town residents up before the beak, Bellevue and basketball, bag-snatchers, police on their metal, an unpopular Virgin, and efforts to slow traffic on the broad, sunlit Terraces of Calton Hill. We deal with bouncing and munching, skewering, whisky-kissing, psychedelia, and retail churn on Broughton Street, before moving on to other matters on pages 2–4.

Extra stories, leisure tips and background papers will appear online to coincide with publication at the start of June.

You will find black-and-white paper copies in pubs, clubs, cafés and newsagents, shops, hair salons, McDonald Road Library and dozens of other locations between Leith Walk, Pilrig Street, Bonnington Road, Canonmills, Dundas and Queen Streets. Colour versions can be downloaded from our home page and Back Issues section online.

Read, ruminate, react ... perhaps even write us an article. We welcome your input.
