ISSUE 238 – OUT TODAY!

Submitted by Editor on

The March printed edition of Broughton's independent stirrer hits the streets today.

Vastly delayed by thick snow, late-breaking news, and the wrong kind of month (February), it will be delivered to every corner of the barony from dawn onwards by Spurtle’s crack team of ninja Nordic skiers in figure-hugging black lycra.

Directionless activity features on page 1 in a lead story not altogether optimistic about Leith Walk being perfect in a week or two. Exciting hustings news, a bus, and a summary of the enormous stushie surrounding proposals for the old Royal High School follow.

On page 2, you’ll find exciting cinematic developments, a cemetery update and interesting stuff about a bad lot in a good read. Page 3 stops short of Ruskin, suggests how to control your computer, and touches on ice cream in Annandale Street and thrush in Drummond Place.

Anyone itching for more information will find all the traffic trials, recycling, disobliging villains, distinctive pongs, good company, recrudescence, rooftop intrusion, luxury parking, pipes, ace chat-up lines, naked cavorting, bicycles and retired American Football muscle they could wish for in neighbouring items.

For all those unable to find a Spurtle in a shop, library, service provider, gutter or wandering Nordic ski-er, beautiful colour PDFs are available free of charge by clicking on the top-right front-page image here:  http://www.broughtonspurtle.org.uk
