ISSUE 344 – PUBLISHED TOMORROW!

Submitted by Editor on

As you read this, advance copies of the October Spurtle are already spreading across the barony like early autumn sunbeams completely obscured by mizzle and murk.

Issue 344 begins with constructive complications, connections, containers, buccaneers and an absent bang.

More hush, disquiet and city-centre enhancements follow on Page 2, as do wraps of various kinds, disappearing street furniture and the latest chapter in a peculiar Gayfield saga.

On Page 3 you’ll find a speiring gaze, an abundance of bikes and strong words about bus stops and bus conductors. Also the smell of success and cub scouts and impending traffic chaos.

The killer on Page 4 has eluded the Spurtle for over a month but has now been captured on film. (A better image will appear on this website tomorrow.) We have more news about bus stops, buckets, funding for Broughton projects and misunderstood bottle shops.

In short, if it woofs, whistles, hoots, burps or vibrates between Pilrig and western Stockbridge, Queen Street and Canonmills, you’ll likely read about it here first.

Printed copies are available in shops, bars, services and libraries across the barony and beyond. A colourful pdf will be downloadable from our website HERE after midnight tonight.
