KNOCK, KNOCK ... WHOOOO's THERE?

Submitted by Editor on

Is this Spurtleshire's spookiest front door?

The Bridge Place flat on the edge of Stockbridge is the focus of many strange artistic adornments to nearby walls and pavements.

Within a few metres are inexplicable boots, faces, leaves, cogs, and an unsettling salamander scuttling for admission.

If you know of an eerier entrance or more petrifying portal in Broughton, let us know.

Closer to home, locals who fancy a family-friendly Halloween celebration should head for the Barony Community Garden this evening (in the park tucked away on the north side of Barony Street). From 4pm till 7pm, it will be the focus of all things supernatural, but with more of an emphasis on pumpkins and douking than disembowelment and projectile puking ... hopefully.

Broughton Project Group are behind the event, and hope to attract new members for their campaign to make this an even greener and pleasanter part of Edinburgh. Further details here.
