All quiet on the Broughton Front, although three local applications have just been granted. The first three links below are to Spurtle's most recent coverage.
- Conversion into three flats of a property at 11 Bellevue Crescent. (This relates to listed building consent.)
- Conversion into a hotel of 34–8 York Place
- Creation of 'hard standing' (car park surface) at 49 Anandale Street
The site may lie a little outwith Greater Spurtleshire, but readers will be interested nonetheless in Barclay's Nominees successful application to create a hotel at 10–14 Princes Street / 16 West Register Street (Ref. 10/02160/LBC). Plans were initially presented to the New Town and Broughton Community Council some months ago, and greeted with general approval.
