A charity auction raising money for The British Heart Foundation Scotland, Marie Curie Cancer Care, and BLISS-caring for babies born too soon will take place at the Out of the Blue Drill Hall on Saturday 23 October.

For sale will be 12 unique pieces created by established Scottish jewellers alongside some of the finest up-and-coming new graduates as part of a project by the Precious Metals Workshop. Materials – metals and jewels – were donated by Hamilton & Inches, where the completed works have been on display this month. Clare Blatherwick of Bonham's will host the sale.

The event starts at 7pm and entry is free. However, 'VIP' tickets – entitling holders to a better view and wallet-loosening wine – may be purchased from www.preciousmetalsworkshop.com (Tel. Ian Nicholson on 07535 449037) and www.hamiltonandinches.com.
