PUBLIC TO BE CONSULTED ON NEW PLANS FOR SHRUB PLACE GAP-SITE

Submitted by Editor on

Edinburgh-based People for Places (Shrubhill) Ltd is coming forward with revisions to the planning application first submitted by BL Developments Ltd in September 2005 and consented in August 2008 for the gap-site between Shrub Place and Dryden Street (Ref. 05/03128/FUL; see map below).

The amendments will first go through a pre-application public consultation process (Ref. 14/03607/PAN), with open days planned for 21 October and 11 November, both events to be held at McDonald Road Library from 3.00–7.00pm.

The changes include: a reduction of the car park; replacement of one commercial office block with residential units; redesigned internal flat layouts/cores/mix to meet current Building Standards; redesigned public realm; and revised elevations.
