Auld acquaintance not forgot

Dear Sir

Civitas is quite right to draw attention to the appalling state of financial affairs at the Equality and Human Rights Commission. However, they are wrong to call for its abolition.

Instead, Trevor Phillips (whom I know from his NUS days to be a deeply decent man) should be the first to realise that not even he is worth a reported £500 per day salary, and start by promoting a significant paycut for himself and other top earners at the Commission.
