EDINBURGH SAFARI (4)

Submitted by Editor on

Two weeks ago we launched the third of our Edinburgh safaris by inviting readers to search for dogs.

You can see the nine we found  at the foot of the page. If you’re  aware of more, please send us the pictures and together we’ll start to build up an Edinburgh bestiary. In the meantime, congratulations to Lizzie Rynne who found a dog we were not aware of in West Princes Street Garden and, for the third time in  a row, was first to identify the mystery picture.

This time, we’re looking for SPHINXES.  Not just in Broughton, but anywhere across the city. And not your boring old living sphinxes, sitting there looking smug and mysterious and asking awkward questions the way normal sphinxes do, but dead-as-a-doornail sphinxes shaped, sculpted or moulded by human hand.

So long as they’re outdoors, in a public space where you don’t need to pay to view them, and as long as they’re three-dimensional, they count. Take photos of the ones you find – the person with the most sphinxes we haven’t already spotted by 10 July will be the winner.

So far we’ve found FOUR including the one featured above. If you can identify the location of the one in the picture, you get a bonus point.
