NICE DAY FOR A WHITE WEDDING

Submitted by Editor on

This rather splendid wedding party made the most of bright and breezy spring weather this afternoon.

Bystanders applauded, taxis honked, and traffic slowed to gawp as the large group processed down Broughton and London Streets before crossing the road and on into the Mansfield Traquair Centre.

For anyone who has ever wondered how pipers manage to keep cool under their bearskins, Spurtle has an explanation: bare skins.

Meanwhile, the steep path down into King George V Park from Summerside Place looked positively jungly this morning (see below). Bluebells and wild garlic are relishing just about their first glimpse of sunshine this year.

More fine weather is forecast for the weekend, with temperatures of 16–17º C predicted. Make the most of it!
