Proud Broughtonians have until Monday 23 January to vote for record-breaking Kimberley Reed in the Daily Record Young Athlete of the Year Award.
Kimberley – a truly outstanding hammer thrower and Bellevue resident – is up against 11 other promising candidates who have caught the eye over the last 12 months. As reported in the Spurtle, her successes included winning the English Championships, representing Britain in the World Youth Championships, and for Scotland winning a silver medal in the Commonwealth Youth Games.
The winner of this latest competition will be announced at a glittering event in Glasgow on 28 January.
