WORLD'S POOR NEED EDINBURGH'S BOOKS (AND MORE)

Submitted by Editor on

Organisers of the 2010 Christian Aid Book Sale are appealing for contributions. They hope to receive books, of course, but also many other items of interest to the collector (for details, see below).

Gifted items should be delivered on weekdays, 9am–9pm from 26 April to 5 May. The event itself runs on 8 and from 10–14 May.

The sale, held annually in St Andrew's and St George's Church West on George Street, is now believed to be the biggest charity book sale in the world. Over the past 36 years it has raised around £1.8 million for the world's poor, and is certainly the largest single UK event for Christian Aid.
