Vintage Vibes is an Edinburgh-based charitable project offering one-to-one friendships, support and companionship to Edinburgh’s over-60s.
It tackles isolation and loneliness by keeping its ‘VIPs’ socially connected and active in their local communities. Close to Spurtleshire, it operates from LifeCare Edinburgh at 2 Cheyne Street in Stockbridge, and three businesses in the area currently support it: Dragonfly on Broughton Street, One20 on Dundas Street, and The Beauty Boutique by Victoria on St Stephen Street.

The Howlin Hound will open shortly at 7 East London Street. Painters, decorators and folk with no chat but impressive toolboxes have been busy at the premises for over two weeks.

Edinburgh Street Food proposes to move its freestanding illuminated sign outside the OMNi Centre (23/06731/ADV).
If consented by Planners, in its new position (shown below) the sign would replace a planter and cease to obtrude onto tactile paving.
This change would address earlier concerns from the Council and Scottish Government Reporter about pedestrian safety around the sign and public right of passage.

The Edinburgh Food Project is an independent charity established in 2012 (SCO43220). Its 170 volunteers currently hand out 2,000 food parcels per month through seven outlets across the capital. One parcel in three goes to a child.
