We hate awkward silences as much as the next hyperlocal, but this time the elephant in the room was entirely welcome.
Benign, beautiful and almost irresistibly huggable, she features in the window of Concrete Wardrobe on Broughton Street, and was attracting frequent second glances from pedestrians there as we looked on this afternoon.
The work is by a young Edinburgh artist called Ziggy Sawdust (also known as Amy Dolan), whose attractive chest of drawers also appears in the window.
She will attend the shop's (non-lethal) 'Meet Your Maker' event tomorrow between 11am and 2pm.
