MORE YORK PLACE DISRUPTION – BE PREPARED

Submitted by Editor on

A temporary road closure will be in place next week from 9 am on Tuesday 12 April to 5 am on Wednesday 13 April.

‘Surfacing and lining work’ means eastbound lanes at York Place and Broughton Street will close completely, in addition to existing closure of westbound lanes. Traffic will not be able to exit Broughton Street by turning left onto Picardy Place.

Clearly signposted diversions will be via Abercromby Street, Albany Street and East London Street and/or London Road, Regent Road and South St David Street.

There will be no through vehicular access along the front of the buildings at Picardy Place and Antigua Street. Pedestrians won’t be affected.

Details of bus diversions are available HERE.

Businesses requiring assistance with specific deliveries should contact the Trams Project directly and arrangements will be made. Tel. 0131 322 1122. Email: newhaven.tram@edinburgh.gov.uk.

A Council spokesperson said, ‘We appreciate that this may cause some delays for those travelling in the area, and would encourage them to plan ahead.’
