ANNANDALE STREET INCIDENT – POLICE RELEASE IMAGES

Police Scotland has released images of a man they believe may be able to assist them in relation to an ongoing investigation into an incident which occurred on Annandale Street, near Broughton Street, Edinburgh around 4pm on Friday, 14 May, 2021. 

The man officers wish to speak to is described as white, aged 17–20 years of age and of medium build with short brown hair.  He was wearing a yellow high vis jacket, black cargo trousers and work boots.

Officers in Edinburgh have released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries following a serious assault which took place in the Forth Street area around 9.50pm on Monday 7 June 2021.  As a result of the incident a man required hospital treatment.

Police in Edinburgh have released a CCTV image [see below] of two men they wish to speak to as it is believed they may have information which could assist police with their ongoing enquiries into an assault that occurred around 1.30pm on Monday 2 September, 2020 on Montgomery Street. 

One of the men is described as being white and in his late 20s to early 30s. He has short dark hair, stubble and was wearing black casual clothing.

Police in Edinburgh are appealing for information after a 35-year-old man was seriously assaulted in the early hours of the morning on Thursday, 27 August, 2020.

MAN'S BODY RECOVERED

Police Scotland have announced the recovery of a man’s body from the Canty Bay area of North Berwick.

The family of Richard Forbes has been informed, pending a formal identification.

Mr Forbes, owner of the Smoke Stack restaurant on Broughton Street, was last seen at the Drift Café in North Berwick on 18 March. Appeals for information and a widespread police search followed.

Police say there are no apparent suspicious circumstances.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
