ISSUE 326 — OUT SOON!

Submitted by Editor on

As you read this, advance copies of the March Spurtle (Issue 327) are already spreading across the barony to cries of amazement from startled readers.

You, too, will gasp at disturbing news from Eyre Place and East London Street, where matters are not progressing as anybody expected. You, too, may swoon at the news of a former child star who’s now succeeding in two careers and on telly. It all started in Broughton.

Page 2 leads with unlucky cats, continues with a mysterious island, then plunges snout-first into the nitty gritty of Leith Walk controversies. We extend a qualified welcome to global vibrancy.

All the big questions

Where are we going? How will we get there? Should we wear wellies? Page 3 has all the answers, and offers help to those who don’t know one end of an Erechtheion from the other. Not only that but a singing pig, rubbish trends, elk and a phantom poo-circler on the loose in Bellevue.

All a bit too exciting? Calm down on Page 4 with a skew-whiff approach to house naming, a plausible explanation for murderous behaviour, and a more effective alternative to blunt instruments. We conclude with a fascinating piece on superfluous shuffles and how much it would cost to finish something the Council has no intention of starting.

Issue 326 will be available HERE from midnight tonight, and in shops, services, cafes, bars and libraries the length and breadth of Broughton and beyond.

And finally … if you have news, views, images or unsubstantiated gossip you think we should know about, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. You can contact us in the strictest confidence at spurtle@hotmail.co.uk or by letter c/o Narcissus Flowers at 87 Broughton St.
